Cetona is situated on a mount, between cypresses, holm oaks and olive trees. Here the tourist is received by the breath of the history and the nature. In the ancient village, there are the churches of San Michele and of Santissima Trinità: the church of San Michele Archangel was founded in 1155, and widened and enriched in 1614. Nothing remains of the ancient structure and today the building has baroque shapes and an unfinished facade. The Collegiata della Santissima Trinità, risen between the 12th and 13th century, had in origin one nave, the lateral one was added in the second half of the 16th century. Inside, some frescoes of late 1400's, among which a "Madonna Assunta", attributed to Pinturicchio. From Cetona, moreover, various routes that allow to explore the rural nature and the genuineness of the Val di Chiana.
