Val di Chiana
The Val di Chiana has soft borders, like the faintness of its dawn, and usually it is comprised between the province of Arezzo and the province of Siena. The Val di Chiana can in fact be subdivided following the current provincial division, that however reflects the historical subdivision between the territory of Arezzo, property of the Medici family and the one property of the Republic of Siena. The Val di Chiana gives the emotion of coves inhabitated since 50000 years, at the foot of the Mount Cetona, but this zone lived a period of great splendor, after to have been inhabited from Etruschi and Romani, in the Renaissance. In all the valley, in fact, you can see villages with towers, churches and medieval palaces that remember us those times. The valley offers also the possibility to relax in the thermal waters of Chianciano or San Casciano, and to see spectacular historical re-enactment, that are organized almost in every town.
