The area called Mugello is a valley, that follows the river Sieve. Here, not far from Florence, we can find traces of history. In fact, this area was inhabited by the Etruscans and the Romans, while in the Middle Ages there was a period of development thanks to the particular strategic and economic value that the Mugello valley has for Florence. Today the landscape of Mugello is characterized by a wide belt of mountains and hills that degrade until the plain where there is the river Sieve. The zone is cultivated, and, between the fields, beautiful and colourful paths bring to the visitor peace and tranquillity.
Mugello is known also because there is in its territory an international automobile race track, where every year there is the Grand Prix of Italy of motorcycling.
The circuit, property of Ferrari, is seat of tests and is used for motorbikes and cars races.
