Monte Argentario is a splendid cape that penetrates in the Tyrrhenian Sea in front of the southern islands of Toscano Archipelago; the zone was known and attended already in ancient ages (there is a roman villa in locality Santa Liberata), and also has conserved historical relics of remarkable interest. But the mount is much beautiful above all from the naturalistic point of view; the panoramic road, that it goes all around to the cape, allows to enjoy panoramas of rare beauty. The slopes of the mount, rocky and covered from vegetation, come down to the sea, giving origin to beaches and creeks. On the mount, characteristic for its conformation and the tranquillity of its places, the lovers of trekking and mountain bike will find many paths, that from the sea go up until 635 meters. The two "tomboli" that connect the cape to the land and Orbetello, moreover, are two long sandy beaches, repaired by pine woods, that make this area particularly calm and relaxing. And then the two towns on the cape; in the north Porto Santo Stefano, while Porto Ercole, smaller, in the south.
